Rally
a sun sliver seeps though the crack in the curtains
settling on the turquois quilt
in a rhythmic motion, the quilt moves up and down
harboring the small mess
slowly creeping
two hands appear
nails painted bright sky blue
the bundle slowly stirring, starting to expand
the kettle begins to burble
she sits at the window
she sits at the window
surveying the character
the breath of the street
refreshing her
rallying her
